Blaming climate change on tourism is a bit like blaming a janitor in Kentucky for the US deficit.
My organization and most of the other orgs I work with have all banned AI note takers in meetings. We either don’t let them in or boot them at the beginning. Some of the people who send them, I haven’t seen them actually show up to a meeting in months.
The actual title here is “Urban Transportation Commission calls on city to narrow traffic lanes,” my friend.
It’s worth noting that recommendations by the Urban Transportation Commission are not binding on the city government, and any code changes that might come about as a result of the resolution would likely still take years to effect any transformation of Austin’s streets through the gradual process of road diets, scheduled re-pavings and re-paintings and small infrastructure projects. But that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
How do you select content and choose where to post it? Are you a bot? You seem to post about Texas all the time. I live in Texas and love reading about Texas, but much of what you post is low quality corporate slop or just uninteresting.
The calving referred to here as a tourist attraction has been happening for centuries as part of the natural outflow of the glacier, and tourism hasn’t had any direct impact on it.
Climate change is definitely affecting this glacier and every glacier though. There’s a realistic point in the not too distant future where there are no more glaciers.
You’re right, but my entire point is no one has DID 😂

What is a “terrorist attack” when you’re at war? Who were the “good guys” in the Syrian Civil war? Surely the US didn’t harm any civilians during that conflict, right?
That other guy should be in prison though
Projection is an ego defense mechanism where someone denies a negative aspect of their own personality or behavior and instead accuses someone else of being that way.
An example is someone who’s guilty of something may attempt to blame others for being guilty of that thing. This is mostly an unconscious thought process, people who do it on purpose aren’t projecting
When and where has that happened to you on here? Let’s be clear, there are always going to be individual bad actors, but outside of .ml and hexbear, that has not been a trend I’ve observed.
I should add there’s a 3rd category of people I’ve encountered who have DID: people who have therapists who convinced them they have DID. We’ve definitely recommended some people terminate toxic relationships with therapists.
The psychological term “projection” means something totally different. What you’re describing doesn’t sound like any mental health condition I’m aware of
Mental health clinician here. Everyone I’ve ever encountered with a DID diagnosis or who claimed to have multiple personalities instead had either PTSD or Borderline Personality Disorder or both. I genuinely believe DID does not exist as a standalone diagnosis.
People who think they have DID often respond well to Dialectical Behavior Therapy and/or trauma therapy, depending on their specific needs, which are the primary treatments for BPD and PTSD, respectively.
Why is it off center 😨
Not if you put hardware cloth in front of the screen
This is the hardest projection I’ve ever seen. So very hard
Are you saying you don’t like shards of hard, sharp plastic rubbing against your scrotum?
